Your Data is Private

Everything in Maison is completely private to you. All data you enter (houses, devices, items, projects) is encrypted and only accessible to you. We never sell, share, or use your data for advertising. We have never been subpoenaed for user data.

What Information We Collect

We collect minimal personal information to provide the Maison service:

• Email address - for account authentication and important service communications
• Name - for billing (required by our payment processor, Stripe) and to personalize your experience

We do not collect phone numbers, physical addresses, location data, device contacts, camera access, or any other personal information.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Authenticate you when you sign in
• Send essential service notifications (password resets, billing updates)
• Process payments for your subscription
• Provide customer support when you contact us

We will never use your information for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

Service Providers

We work with trusted partners to deliver Maison:

• Postmark - Delivers account-related emails. Privacy Policy

These partners only process data necessary to provide their specific services and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Email Communications

We send emails only for essential service notifications (account creation, password resets, billing updates). You may opt in to receive occasional product updates.

You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in each email or by contacting us.

Payment Processing

All payment transactions are processed securely through Stripe.

When you make a payment, your payment information goes directly to Stripe's secure servers.

We only store a non-personally identifiable reference to your payment method and basic transaction details (amount, date) for billing purposes.

We never have access to your full credit card number.

Your Privacy Rights

You have complete control over your data. You can:

• Access your data - request a copy of all information we have about you
• Correct your data - update or fix any inaccurate information
• Delete your data - remove your account and all associated data permanently at /delete
• Export your data - download your information in a portable format at /export
• Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

We will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a single cookie to keep you signed in for a year. It stores an encrypted session identifier—no one can discover your identity or email from it. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

No Tracking

We don't use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking services. We don't show ads. We don't track your behavior. Your usage stays between you and Maison. We don't respond to Do Not Track signals because we don't track you in the first place.

Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

While we take security seriously, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we're committed to protecting your data.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days. We may retain anonymized usage data for improving the service.

Children's Privacy

Maison is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy occasionally. We'll notify you of material changes by posting the new policy here and updating the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
